Cefoperazone 1000mg + Tazobactam 125mg, a combination antibiotic, is used to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective against infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, intra-abdominal infections, and bloodstream infections (septicemia). It's also used in post-operative infections and can be used to treat bacterial meningitis. The combination works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis (cefoperazone) and preventing bacterial resistance to cefoperazone (tazobactam).
